3. Eligibility Criteria

3.1 MS Programs

 
# Requirement
1 16 years education or BS (min 130 credit hrs) / Master's degree
2 Min CGPA 2.50/4.00 (Semester system) or 50% marks (Annual system)
3 Valid GAT/GRE/HAT/UoB Subject test with at least 50% score

3.2 PhD Programs

 
# Requirement
1 30 credit hrs MS/MPhil essential having 6 credit hrs research in relevant field
2 Min CGPA 3.00/4.00 (Semester system) or 60% marks (Annual system)
3 Valid GAT/GRE/HAT/UoB Subject test with at least 60% score

3.3 Additional Conditions

  • Foreign degrees require HEC Equivalence Certificate.

  • Government servants must provide Departmental NOC and/or Study Leave.

5. How to Apply

Step 1: Online Registration

Register and apply online via the UoB GSO admission portal:

Step 2: Processing Fee Payment

  • Fee: Rs. 4,000/- (Non-refundable)

  • Payable through: Bank Challan at HBL–University Branch (Account No. 08730001324203)

Step 3: Document Submission

Submit the printed online form, fee receipt, 2 sets of attested copies of educational documents, and 4 recent passport photographs to:

6. Additional Mandatory Guidelines

  1. Required Attested Documents: All certificates (Matric, Inter, Bachelor, Master/MS), DMCs & Degrees, Domicile (applicant/father), CNIC, 04 passport photos & bank receipt.

  2. PhD Statement of Purpose (SOP): PhD applicants must submit an SOP with research proposal title, literature review, objectives, hypothesis, methodology, significance & impact.

  3. Class Size & Migration: Minimum class size is 08 students for MS and 05 students for PhD. Original Migration Certificate is required at admission.

  4. Ineligibility & Announcements: Result-awaiting students cannot apply. Candidates must keep visiting official UoB/GSO websites for ongoing updates.

7. Note

The University reserves the right to cancel the admission process without assigning any reason.
