2. Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet the criteria for either Category A or Category B, in addition to the general entry requirements.

Category A: Post-RN Applicants

  • 03 Years General Nursing Diploma.

  • 01 Year Midwifery Diploma or Post-Basic Specialty Diploma.

  • 02 Years Post-RN BSN Degree Program.

  • Pakistan Studies & Islamiat/Ethics completed at the Bachelor's level.

  • Minimum 02 years of clinical experience.

Category B: Generic BSN Applicants

  • 04 Years Generic BSN Degree Program.

  • Minimum 02 years of clinical experience (excluding the 1-year internship).

General Requirements (Both Categories)

  • Valid registration of all professional qualifications with the Pakistan Nursing Council (PNC).

  • Must pass the College Entry Test & Interview.

  • Must meet the HEC HAT Test requirement.

3. Important Dates

  • Admissions Open: Monday, April 27, 2026

  • Admissions Close: Friday, June 12, 2026

  • Entry Test: Regular HEC HAT Test required (see details below)

  • Commencement of MSN Classes: Tuesday, December 29, 2026

4. Application Instructions

How to Apply

  1. Online Application: Apply online through the university portal at www.stmu.edu.pk.

  2. Fee Payment: Download and pay the Prospectus & Application Processing Fee Voucher of Rs. 5,300/- (for MSN) at any branch of the designated bank.

  3. Document Submission: Candidates must send their paid fee voucher and attested copies of all required documents to the Student Affairs Office before the closing date.

HEC HAT Test Requirement

  • As per the Higher Education Commission (HEC) directives, the HEC HAT Test is mandatory for all MSN applicants.

  • Applicants must register for the test directly via the official HEC website.

  • Valid HAT scorecards/result cards must be submitted to the Shifa College of Nursing to process the admission.
