Admission Notice for Lady Health Visitors (L.H.V) – Session 2026-28

The Provincial Health Services Academy (P.H.S.A) Peshawar, which is an official training and research institution of the Health Department, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, has four public health schools under its subordinate institutions where applications are invited from suitable female candidates belonging to the districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, merged districts, Azad Jammu & Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan for admission to the Lady Health Visitor (L.H.V) Diploma Course, Session 2026-28.

Educational Qualifications & Requirements

(1) Matric with Science or equivalent education with at least 45% marks (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as compulsory subjects), or (2) F.Sc (Pre-Medical) with at least 45% marks. (3) Admission shall be strictly on merit, based on educational qualifications, against the seats allocated for the respective districts/merged districts of each Public Health School. (4) The age limit is a minimum of 14 years and a maximum of 35 years. (5) For Azad Jammu & Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, self-finance seats are reserved on a merit basis, for which a separate form shall be used, details of which are available in the prospectus. Candidates may submit separate applications for both regular and self-finance seats. Self-finance seats shall not, under any circumstances, be converted to regular seats, nor shall they be converted to the regular waiting list.

Merit Determination

The merit list of all eligible desirous candidates shall be prepared according to the following formula:

(a) Candidates with Matric with Science or equivalent education with at least 45% marks (with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as compulsory subjects) shall be awarded weightage at 70%.

(b) Candidates with F.Sc (Pre-Medical) or equivalent education with at least 45% marks shall be awarded weightage at 30%.

Similarly, 20 marks are reserved for Hafiz-e-Quran who are graduates of religious madaris (Wafaq-ul-Madaris), which shall be added to the marks obtained in Matric. The memorization (Hifz) shall be tested at the interview. In case of failure, no additional marks shall be awarded.

(5) One seat has been reserved for disabled candidates in each Public Health School. In case no disabled candidate is available, the seat shall be considered on open merit.

(7) Three seats have been reserved for minority candidates in Public Health School Nishtarabad, Hayatabad, and Dera Ismail Khan.

(8) Two (02) seats have been reserved for the children of PHSA Network employees in Public Health School Nishtarabad, Peshawar.

Notes:

  1. Complete applications, in all respects, must be submitted to the respective schools by 08.10.2026 at 2:00 PM. No application shall be accepted after this deadline.

  2. Attested copies of Matric/F.Sc certificates and DMCs, domicile, computerized National Identity Card (or Form-B), and two recent photographs must be attached with the admission form. A non-refundable fee of Rs. 600/- must be deposited at the respective school. For self-finance, a separate form and separate fee must be submitted.

  3. In-service women should send their applications through their respective department/employer.

  4. The merit list shall be displayed on the notice boards of the above-mentioned schools one day before the interview and shall also be available on the PHSA website.

  5. Original documents must be brought to the interview; otherwise, admission shall not be granted.

  6. Candidates absent from the interview shall not be granted admission under any circumstances. (There are no additional marks for the interview.)

  7. Women coming for admission shall not be paid any travel expenses (TA/DA), nor shall separate call letters be sent.

  8. Incomplete and late-received applications shall not be considered.

  10. Admission shall be granted according to the merit list of the concerned districts against the allocated seats.

  11. During training, students cannot undergo training elsewhere.

  12. In case of a large number of applications, the institution shall be bound to shortlist, and only shortlisted candidates shall be called for the interview.

  13. Students are themselves responsible for filling out the form correctly. In case of any error, the concerned school shall not bear any responsibility.
