ADMISSION NOTICE- 4th-Batch
Doctor of Philosophy (PhD)-Nursing
Khyber Medical University (KMU), Peshawar, Faculty of Nursing Sciences, invites applications from eligible candidates for admission to the 4th Batch of the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Nursing program.
The PhD in Nursing is designed to prepare nurse scholars, researchers, educators, and healthcare leaders capable of conducting high-quality research and contributing to the advancement of nursing education, clinical practice, healthcare policy, and evidence-based patient care at national and international levels.
Eligibility Criteria
- MS/MPhil in Nursing (or equivalent qualification) from a Pakistan Nursing Council (PNC) and Higher Education Commission (HEC) recognized University/Degree Awarding Institution.
- Minimum CGPA 3.00/4.00 under the Semester System or First Division under the Annual System.
- Valid Pakistan Nursing and Midwifery Council (PNMC) Registration/License.
- Candidates must fulfill all other admission requirements prescribed by Khyber Medical University and HEC, where applicable.

Interested candidates are required to submit their online applications through the KMU Postgraduate Admission Portal: pgadmissions.kmu.edu.pk. Applicants are advised to carefully read the admission instructions and upload all required documents before the closing date. Incomplete applications or those received after the due date shall not be entertained.
Important Instructions
- Admission shall be strictly on merit in accordance with the prescribed KMU/HEC rules and regulations.
- Only shortlisted candidates will be called for the interview.
- Original academic documents, CNIC, domicile, PNMC license, experience certificates (if applicable), and other relevant documents must be produced at the time of interview.
- The University reserves the right to increase/decrease the number of seats, postpone or cancel the admission process without assigning any reason.
- Errors and omissions, if any, are subject to subsequent rectification by the University.
