About Lahore College For Women University (LCWU)
Lahore College for Women University is an autonomous university for women in Lahore. The institute was set up as college for women in May 1922. LCWU is one of the oldest female educational institutes in Pakistan. Lahore College for Women University has 15,000 aspirants while a teaching faculty of almost 450.
The university offer admission to the students at intermediate, bachelors, master’s and PhD level.
11th Class admissions at LCWU
Every year LCWU opens admissions at intermediate level soon after the declaration of matric annual exams result. This year, the college also opens admission in July and for this purpose it also published the admission advertisements for the convenience of students.
To apply for the admissions at intermediate level the candidates can get the prospectus from the college’s admission office from July 25th, 2017 to August 2nd, 2017 from 09:00am to 03:00pm and are required to submit the application forms at the same place till August 2nd.
Candidates can also download the admission forms from the official website of LCWU (www.lcwu.edu.pk) and the application fee in this case might be deposited together with the admission form to the college to get a prospectus copy.
If a student wishes to apply for more than one category then she is required to submit the separate admission forms.
The College is offering intermediate admissions in the following courses:
o FSc Pre-Medical
o FSc Pre-Engineering
o General Science
The students applying for the admissions are required to submit the following documents along with the admission form.
o 2 attested photocopies of Bay. Form or CNIC
o 2 attested photocopies of matric result card
o 2 attested photocopies of character or provisional certificate
o 2 attested photocopies of CNIC of Father / Mother or Guardian
o 2 attested photocopies of monthly income certificate of Father / Mother or Guardian
o 2 attested photocopies of N.O.C. (for the students of other Boards excluding Lahore Board).
The seats allocation is as follows:
o Two percent of total seats are reserved for the physically disabled students.
o Two percent seats of the total seats are reserved for aspirants applying on sports basis. District as well as the Board level players can apply against these seats.
o Fifteen seats out of the total seats are reserved for foreign candidates. These candidates might apply to the Ministry of Education, Islamabad through their Embassy.
o Twenty-five seats out of the total seats are reserved for other provinces. 5 seats are reserved for every province including Gilgit-Baltistan, FATA, Azad Jammu & Kashmir, Khyber pakhtunkhwa Sindh and Balochistan.
o Ten percent seats are reserved for the aspirants of O-Level. Their admission will be started after the announcement of result subject to delivery of Result Statement or equivalence certificate.
Scholarships/Financial Aid for students:
LCWU also offer scholarships and finical aids to the deserving students. The aspirants containing academic record can apply for the limited need-based scholarships through the available form by getting them from the Scholarship Office in the Bushra Mateen Building at the college soon after the display of 1st merit list.
First Merit list will be displayed on August 07th, 2017 (Monday) at 4:00 p.m.
Second Merit list will be displayed on August 10th, 2017 (Thursday) at 4:00 p.m.
Third Merit list will be displayed on August 17th, 2017 (Thursday) at 4:00 p.m.
Fourth Merit list will be displayed on August 23rd, 2017 (Wednesday) at 4:00 p.m.
