Forman Christian College is an autonomous research liberal arts varsity which is situated in Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan. The university is run by the Presbyterian Church and the varsity follows an American-style curriculum.
The university was established in 1864 by the American Presbyterian missionary Dr. Charles William Forman. At first the university was named as Mission College as afterwards its name was changed to Forman Christian College in 1894 in honor of the founder.
Forman Christian College served as an associated college of the University of Calcutta till 1947 when it became affiliated along with the University of Punjab.
Earlier in 2004, the government granted it university charter hence providing it along with the degree awarding authority.
Bachelor’s admissions at Forman Christian College
Forman Christian College starts admissions in undergraduate programs soon after the declaration of intermediate annual exams result. For this reason, the university also publishes online admission advertisements to inform the students. The university offer admissions in various undergraduate programs which include BSc, BS (Hons), BSCS, B.Com etc.
For the admissions in undergraduate programs the university has set eligibility criteria for the students.
To get admission in any undergraduate program it is mandatory for the aspirants that they have passed their intermediate level exams with at least 60% marks.
After the declaration of intermediate annual exams result the aspirants can get the prospectus along with the admission forms from the admission office of college.
After the completion of all formalities the college will display the merit lists for selected candidates.
