Certificate Course in Medical Teaching

The University of Health Sciences (UHS), Lahore invites online applications from eligible candidates for admission to the six-month Certificate Course in Medical Teaching, in accordance with the terms, conditions, and academic requirements outlined below.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must fulfill at least one of the following conditions:

1. Be a faculty member serving as Senior Registrar, Demonstrator, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor in a recognized medical or dental college or teaching hospital in Pakistan;
   OR

2. Be an on-campus M.Phil. or Ph.D. student of the University of Health Sciences, Lahore.

Programme Structure & Attendance Requirements

• The programme duration is six (06) months.

• Instruction will be delivered in two contact blocks, each consisting of four (04) days, conducted at the University of Health Sciences, Lahore.

• An interval of approximately three (03) months will be observed between the two instructional blocks.

• During this interval, participants must submit online assignments to their respective mentors.

• Attendance in all instructional sessions and submission of assignments, properly documented in a portfolio, are mandatory and form an integral part of the programme requirements.

Application Procedure

1. Applications must be submitted online only through the UHS admissions portal:
   https://admissions.uhs.edu.pk

2. A non-refundable and non-transferable application processing fee of Rs. 2,000/- must be paid at the time of application submission.

3. Applicants are required to upload scanned copies of all required documents along with proof of fee payment on the online portal within the prescribed time.

   • Applications without complete uploads shall be considered incomplete and will not be processed.

Important Instructions

1. Applications must be submitted exclusively through the online portal. Incomplete, incorrectly submitted, or unpaid applications shall be rejected without further notice.

2. The course fee of Rs. 70,000/- (Rupees Seventy Thousand Only) shall be payable at the commencement of the programme.

3. Merit lists will be displayed on the official UHS website.

4. Submission of false, misleading, or forged information or documents shall result in cancellation of candidature and/or admission at any stage.

5. Admission shall be granted strictly on the basis of merit, in accordance with applicable rules and regulations.

6. In-service applicants must submit a valid No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the competent authority. Applicants seeking admission on deputation must apply through the proper channel.

7. Applicants holding foreign qualifications must provide a valid equivalence certificate issued by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) and/or Pakistan Medical & Dental Council (PM&DC), as applicable.
