COMBINED ENTRANCE TEST 2026 (FIRST)

For Admission to B.Sc. Engineering, Computing & Other Disciplines

(Offered by UET Lahore and Public Sector Engineering Institutions of Punjab)

Introduction

As per the directions of the Government of Punjab, the University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore has been conducting the Combined Entrance Test since 1999 for admission to public sector engineering institutions of Punjab. In accordance with the regulations of the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC), passing the Entrance Test is mandatory for admission to undergraduate engineering programs in both public and private institutions.

For the year 2026, this is the first ECAT, and applicants are allowed to appear in multiple attempts. The best score will be considered while determining merit during the admission process. The ECAT score will be valid for Fall 2026 admissions. There is no passing threshold and no negative marking in ECAT.

The Combined Entrance Test is required for admission to:

• Other applicable disciplines

offered by UET Lahore and its constituent campuses as well as public sector institutions across Punjab.

Anyone may appear in the Entrance Test; however, appearance does not guarantee eligibility for admission, which is subject to institutional and PEC rules.
