Financial Assistance & Research Support Scholarships

• Full-time Ph.D. students are exempt from tuition fees.

• Students may also receive a monthly stipend upon approval of their research topic.

• Eligibility for a stipend requires a minimum CGPA of 3.5/4.0 in coursework.

• A Research Support Scholarship provides:

  • 50% reduction in admission charges

  • 30% tuition fee waiver for all admitted Ph.D. students

• Ph.D. scholars will be given preference for appointment as Teaching Fellows.

Eligibility Criteria

1. Minimum Qualification:

   • 18-year MS/M.Sc./M.Phil. or equivalent degree relevant to the Ph.D. program.

   • Minimum CGPA 3.0/4.0 (semester system) or 60% (annual system).

   • For B.Arch. (five-year degree), 19 years of education are required.

2. If both percentage and CGPA appear on transcript, CGPA will be considered.

3. CGPAs on scales other than 4.00 will be converted proportionately.

Admission Process

1. The Prospectus is available on the admission portal:

2. Admission process begins: Monday, November 10, 2025

   • Applicants must generate a Rs. 3,000/- challan through the portal.

3. Challan Payment Options:
   HBL:

   • HBL online banking (for HBL account holders).

   • HBL Konnect (for non-HBL account holders).

   UBL:

   • Any UBL branch

   • UBL Mobile App (for UBL account holders)

   • UBL Omni (for non-UBL account holders)

4. Using the paid challan (valid until Monday, December 22, 2025), applicants must log in to the portal and complete the online application by uploading all required documents.

5. Admission Test:

   • Conducted at Main Campus (except Textile Engineering)

   • Test dates: Monday, December 29, 2025 – Thursday, January 1, 2026

   • Test Composition: 80% subject-based + 20% general

   • Admit cards issued by respective departments.

6. Interviews:

   • For candidates scoring at least 60% raw score in the test.

   • Interview dates: Monday, January 5 – Friday, January 9, 2026

7. Merit Calculation (Local Applicants):

   • 18-year academic record: 40%

   • Subject Test: 40%

   • Interview: 20%

8. Merit Calculation (International Applicants):

   • 18-year academic record: 100%

   • CGPA of 3.0/4.0 = 60%, CGPA of 4.0/4.0 = 90%

   • Intermediate values calculated linearly.

9. Admission offered on merit, requiring minimum 70% aggregate.

10. Admission Offers Begin: Wednesday, January 21, 2026 (Evening)

11. Commencement of Classes: Monday, February 2, 2026

12. CEWRE offers fee discounts and limited scholarships.

13. Classes may be scheduled in Morning, Evening, or Weekend, based on departmental planning.

14. Admission token is non-refundable under all circumstances.

15. Applications sent via post, courier, or hand submission will NOT be accepted.
