Combined Entrance Test (ECAT) 2026 – First Session

Admission to B.Sc. Engineering, Computing & Other Disciplines in Punjab

104 Years of Academic Excellence – UET Lahore conducts the Combined Entrance Test (ECAT) for admission into undergraduate engineering programs in public sector institutions of Punjab. The test is mandatory for admission in B.Sc. Engineering programs as per the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC).

Key Points:

• Multiple attempts allowed; best score will be used for merit determination.

• Score valid for UET Fall 2026 admission.

• No passing threshold and no negative marking in ECAT.

Orientation Session

Date: Saturday, 28 March 2026
Duration: 15 minutes
Purpose: Familiarize candidates with the computer-based test

Entrance Test

Dates: Monday–Friday, 30 March – 03 April 2026
Venues: Same as orientation centers
Eligibility: Anyone may appear; appearing does not guarantee admission.

Application & Fee

1. Generate Challan / Token from the UET ECAT portal (Rs. 3,000/-) at:

   • Online Banking (HBL), HBL KONNECT, UBL Branch, UBL Mobile app, UBL Omni

2. Fill online Application Form and select Test Center

   • Deadline: Sunday, 22 March 2026

   • Test center preference cannot be changed after submission

3. Print Admit Card: Tuesday, 24 March 2026 (Evening)

   • Shows date, time, and venue of test

   • Must appear as per allotted slot; no reappear allowed

• Duration: 100 minutes

  • Physics, Mathematics, English, Chemistry OR

• Scoring:

  • Each correct answer = 4 points

  • No negative marking

Support for Application / Admit Card Printing

• Available at any test center

• From Monday, 19 January – Monday, 16 March 2026

• Timing: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM (working days, with break for prayer)

Important Dates

Photo-ID Requirement

Candidates must present a valid Photo-ID at the test center. Acceptable IDs:

1. CNIC / NICOP

2. Juvenile Card (NADRA)

3. Original Matric/Intermediate Certificate with photo

4. Computerized Domicile Certificate with photo

5. Passport

6. “A-Level” Statement of Entry

7. Form-B (Computerized) issued by NADRA

Failure to present photo-ID may result in expulsion.

• Missing allotted slot → no reappear allowed

• Test is fully automated → no re-checking facility

• Token/Challan is non-refundable and non-transferable

• University reserves the right to change policies as deemed necessary
