Combined Entrance Test (ECAT) 2026 (Second)

University of Engineering & Technology (UET), Lahore

The University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore, under the direction of the Government of Punjab, is conducting the second and final Combined Entrance Test for 2026. This test is mandatory for admission into undergraduate engineering, computing, and related disciplines in public and private sector institutions of Punjab.

Test Overview & Strategy

• Multiple Chances: Following PEC instructions, students can take multiple tests. The best score between ECAT 1 and ECAT 2 will be used for merit determination for Fall 2026 admissions.

• No Negative Marking: There is no passing threshold and no penalty for incorrect answers.

• Level: Intermediate standard.

• Format: 100-minute duration. Total 100 questions (10 English, 30 each for the other three subjects). Each correct answer is worth 4 points.

Candidates must choose a combination based on their Intermediate background:

1. Physics, Mathematics, English, Chemistry

2. Physics, Mathematics, English, Computer Science

3. Physics, Mathematics, English, Statistics

4. Physics, Biology, English, Chemistry

5. Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, English

   • Note: DAE candidates are restricted to combinations involving Physics and Mathematics.

Registration & Payment Process

1. Generate Challan: Visit admission.uet.edu.pk to generate a challan of Rs. 3,000/-.

2. Payment Methods:

   • HBL: Via HBL Online Banking or HBL KONNECT.

   • UBL: Via UBL Branches, UBL Mobile App, or UBL Omni.

3. Complete Application: After payment, log in to the portal to fill out the form and select your Test Center Preference.

Mandatory Requirements

• Photo ID: Candidates must bring a valid photo ID (CNIC, Juvenile Card, Passport, or Matric/Inter Certificate with photo) to the center.

• Attendance: No re-takes are allowed if a candidate misses their allotted time slot.

• Non-Refundable: Token fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.
