Sindh Madressatul Islam Board – Five-Year Scholarship Program

Introduction

Under the Five-Year Scholarship Program of the Sindh Madressatul Islam Board Endowment Fund, a comprehensive initiative has been launched to provide quality and modern education to talented and deserving male and female students studying in government and private schools of rural and urban Sindh.
The objective of this program is to create opportunities for students to progress in life through education and to promote enlightenment through modern knowledge among Muslims, particularly in Sindh and South Asia.

Sindh Madressatul Islam has a historic legacy of promoting modern education. The institution has produced outstanding personalities, most notably Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, whose early education was associated with this institution. Continuing this tradition, Khan Bahadur Hassan Ali Effendi played a pivotal role in spreading modern education by establishing educational institutions, especially for underprivileged and rural communities.

Scholarship Overview

With the support of the Government of Sindh, the Sindh Madressatul Islam Board offers Five-Year Scholarships every year to:

• 40 deserving male students

• 20 deserving female students

These scholarships are awarded to students who possess merit but face financial difficulties in continuing their education.

Educational Facility

Selected students will be provided education up to Intermediate level (Class XII) at:

SMB Quaid-e-Azam Public Higher Secondary School, Dar-ul-Sukun Campus

All educational expenses will be covered through the Sindh Madressatul Islam Board Endowment Fund.

Key Features of the Scholarship Program

• The scholarship is available to students who have passed or are appearing in Class VII from any government or private school in Sindh.

• The scholarship covers education from Class VIII to Class XII (Intermediate).

• Any medical condition or disability of the student must be disclosed at the time of application.

• Admission will be based on an Entry Test, to be conducted as scheduled.

• This scholarship is strictly limited up to Intermediate level.

Selection Criteria

• Selection will be made strictly on merit and financial need.

• All applicants must appear in a mandatory written test.

Entry Test Details

• Test will be conducted at SMB Quaid-e-Azam Public School, B-Complex Education Campus, Karachi.

• Test syllabus:

  • English (20%)

  • Urdu (20%)

  • Mathematics (30%)

  • Biology (30%)

• Questions will be prepared from Sindh Textbook Board syllabi.
