🏛️ About the University

Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Medical University (SZABMU), Islamabad — a public sector admitting university under the administrative control of the Federal Government — invites applications for admission in the First Year of MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery) and BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) programs for the session 2025–2026.

📑 Quota Documentation Requirements

Applicants applying against quota seats must upload official certificates verifying eligibility, such as:

• Domicile Certificate

• Federal Government Employee Certificate (for quota cases)

• Disability Certificate (if applicable)

In addition to domicile, applicants must provide proof of residence, property, education, or stay within the domicile region.

🎓 Eligibility Criteria

According to the PM&DC Medical and Dental Undergraduate Education (Admissions, Curriculum & Conduct) Policy and Regulations 2023:

• Minimum 50% marks in HSSC (Pre-Medical) or equivalent 12th-grade qualification (Biology, Chemistry, and Physics/Mathematics) recognized by IBCC.

• Must have passed MDCAT (Medical & Dental College Admission Test) in 2023, 2024, or 2025 with:

  • Minimum 55% marks for MBBS

  • Minimum 50% marks for BDS

• Candidates with Sindh domicile will follow PM&DC’s provincial admission policy.

🖥️ Admission Procedure (Online Only)

1. Visit the SZABMU Admission Portal: www.szabmu.edu.pk

2. Register online using CNIC / NICOP / Passport, email ID, and password.

3. Complete the online application form, including:

   • Personal information

   • MDCAT details

   • Academic records

   • Scanned documents upload

4. Apply separately for MBBS and BDS programs.

5. Generate the processing fee challan and upload proof of payment.

   • Fee: Rs. 3,000/- per program (non-refundable & non-adjustable)

6. Only complete and submitted online applications will be considered.

📂 Mandatory Documents (For All Applicants)

1. Recent passport-size color photograph (blue background)

2. Valid CNIC/NICOP/Passport

3. Matriculation (SSC) certificate or IBCC equivalence (for O-Level)

4. HSSC (Pre-Medical) certificate or IBCC equivalence (for A-Level)

5. Domicile certificate

6. PM&DC MDCAT result certificate

7. Paid fee challan (separate for MBBS and BDS)

🌍 Foreign / Overseas Applicants

• Must hold foreign nationality or dual nationality (Pakistani + foreign), or be an overseas Pakistani residing abroad.

• Completed 12th grade / equivalent education outside Pakistan.

• Must provide:

  • Proof of residence abroad

  • Proof of study from last attended institution

  • Valid Iqama, Residence Permit, Green Card, or Foreign Passport

♿ Quota-Specific Documents

• Disability Quota: Certificate issued by a Federal or Provincial Disability Board (certificates from private practitioners are not accepted).

• Federal Government Employees’ Quota: Parent’s employment certificate issued by the relevant department.

• Ex-FATA Applicants: Domicile verification from Deputy/Assistant Commissioner as per SZABMU specimen.

⚠️ Important Instructions

• The entire process is online — no hard copies required.

• Separate applications must be submitted for MBBS and BDS.

• Applicants must indicate order of preference for medical and dental colleges; colleges not listed will not be considered.

• Incomplete, ineligible, or deficient applications will be rejected.

• Documents must be uploaded in JPEG/JPG format, not exceeding 512 KB per file.

• SZABMU is not responsible for errors in document uploads or missing information.

• Once admitted, seat allocation is final and cannot be changed.

• Forgery or false documentation will result in cancellation of admission and permanent disqualification from all Pakistani medical/dental colleges.

• Selected candidates must deposit fees within due date, or the seat will be offered to the next candidate on merit.

• No call letters will be issued individually; all updates will be posted on the SZABMU website.
