POSTGRADUATE TRAINING PROGRAMS (SESSION 2026)
Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Institute of Trauma (SMBBIT), Karachi, invites applications from eligible candidates for admission in the Postgraduate Training Programs for Session 2026.
Programs Offered

| 01 | FCPS-II in Anesthesiology | 4 Years | Candidate must have completed FCPS-I in relevant subject. |
| 02 | MCPS in Anesthesiology | 2 Years | One year of house job, including six months in Anesthesia. |
| 03 | FCPS-II in General Surgery | 5 Years | Must have completed FCPS-I in Medicine & Allied or Surgery & Allied. |
| 04 | FCPS-II in Orthopedic Surgery | 4 Years | FCPS-I in Medicine & Allied or Surgery & Allied with 1–2 years of residency completed. |
| 05 | FCPS-II in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery | 4 Years | FCPS-I in relevant subject. |
| 06 | FCPS-II in Plastic Surgery | 5 Years | FCPS-I in Medicine & Allied or Surgery & Allied with 2 years of General Surgery residency completed. |
| 07 | FCPS-II in ENT (Otolaryngology) | 4 Years | FCPS-I in relevant discipline. |
| 08 | MCPS in ENT (Otolaryngology) | 2 Years | MBBS with one-year house job including ENT rotation. |
| 09 | FCPS-II in Neurosurgery | 5 Years | FCPS-I in Medicine & Allied or Surgery & Allied. |
| 10 | FCPS-II in Pediatric Surgery | 5 Years | FCPS-I in relevant discipline with 2 years General Surgery residency completed. |
| 11 | FCPS-II in Critical Care Medicine | 3 Years | FCPS-I in Medicine & Allied or Anesthesiology. |
Important Instructions

Candidates already registered with other institutes must provide a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from CPSP at the time of the interview.

Candidates awaiting FCPS-I results may apply but must present a successful result before appearing in the interview.

Government employees must produce an NOC from the Health Department at the time of the interview.

After selection, NOC and participation approval from the competent authority must be submitted.

Candidates with recognized PMDC / CPSP registration are eligible to apply.

Entrance Test

The Entrance Test will be held on December 19, 2025, at Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Institute of Trauma (SMBBIT), Karachi.

Only shortlisted candidates will be called for the test and interview.
