General Eligibility Criteria (PhD in Genetics)

Educational Background

1. Must have completed 18 years of education in a relevant discipline.

2. Possess an MS/M.Phil. degree or equivalent qualification with at least:

   • CGPA of 3.0 out of 4.0, or

   • First Division in the most recent degree.

Coursework Requirements

1. Candidates are required to complete 24 credit hours of coursework.

2. In addition, they must undertake 6 credit hours of thesis/research work under the supervision of qualified faculty members.

Admission Test Requirements

Applicants must fulfill one of the following test criteria:

1. GAT (General) by NTS with a minimum cumulative score of 60%.

2. GRE (General) by ETS (USA) with minimum qualifying scores as per HEC equivalence.

3. Alternatively, the University Admission Test (based on M.Phil./Master’s level content) will be conducted, where candidates must secure at least 60% marks to qualify.
