Government Medical Colleges of AJ&K & Reserved Seats for AJ&K Nationals in Pakistan

Session 2025–2026

The Joint Admission Committee (JAC), Government of Azad Jammu & Kashmir, invites applications for MBBS and BDS admissions in AJ&K government medical colleges as well as reserved seats for AJ&K nationals in public sector medical institutions across Pakistan.

📌 Categories of Seats

Admissions will be offered under the following categories:

• General Merit Seats

• Reserved Seats for AJ&K Nationals in Pakistan

• Self-Finance / Nomination Seats (where applicable)

• Seats for Refugee Students (as per government policy)

• Special Seats (Differently-Abled, etc.) subject to submission of valid documentation

🎓 Eligibility Criteria

1. Academic Qualification

   • FSc (Pre-Medical) / HSSC or equivalent with minimum 70% marks (or as per PMC requirements).

2. MDCAT Requirement

   • Applicants must have passed MDCAT with at least:

     • 55% for MBBS

     • 50% for BDS

3. AJ&K Domicile Requirement

   • Candidate must hold valid AJ&K State Subject Certificate.

   • Refugee applicants must submit a valid Refugee Card in place of State Subject.

4. Special Categories

   • Differently-abled candidates must provide a medical disability certificate as per JAC rules.

📝 Admission Procedure

1. Online Application

   • Apply through the official JAC portal: www.jac.ajk.gov.pk

   • Upload required documents including SSC, HSSC, MDCAT result, domicile/state subject, CNIC/B-Form, photographs, etc.

2. Merit Calculation
   Merit will be calculated according to the approved formula:

   • SSC: 10%

   • HSSC: 40%

   • MDCAT: 50%

3. Merit Lists

   • Provisional and final merit lists will be uploaded on the website.

   • Candidates must review and report discrepancies within the given time frame.

4. Document Verification & Admission Offer

   • Selected candidates must appear in person for verification and deposit prescribed fees before the deadline.

📅 Admission Schedule (Tentative)

• Opening of Applications: 16–19 October 2025

• Display of Categories / Seat Allocation: 23 October 2025

• First Merit List: 20 December 2025

• Commencement of Classes: January 2026
