ADMISSION NOTICE FOR MS NURSING PROGRAM

College of Nursing, Nishtar Medical University, Multan

Nishtar Medical University, Multan, invites applications for admission to the Master in Nursing (MSN) Program for the academic session 2025-27.

Eligibility Criteria:

Category-I

• 10 years of schooling (Matriculation)

• 3 years of General Nursing Diploma (registered with the Pakistan Nursing Council [PNC])

• 1 year of Midwifery Diploma or any other Post Basic Specialty Diploma (registered with PNC)

• 1 year of experience as Registered Nurse (RN) for admission to the Post-RN BSN Degree.

• 2 years of Post-RN BSN Degree as specified by the HEC (Notification #8(61)/A&A/2018/HEC/5799, dated 26.04.2018), and registered with PNC

• 1 year of experience as RN.

Category-II

• 12 years of schooling (Matric and FSc Pre-Medical)

• 4 years Generic BSN Nursing Degree (Registered with PNC)

• 1-year Internship (Bedside care)

• 1 year of experience as RN (excluding the 1-year Internship) for admission to MSN Degree.

Application Procedure:

1. Download Application Form:
   The application form can be downloaded from the official Nishtar Medical University website: www.nmu.edu.pk.
   (Print the form on one side of the page only).

2. Terms and Conditions:
   The terms and conditions related to the admission process are mentioned on the application form.

3. Last Date of Submission:
   The completed application form must be submitted by 10th October 2025 (close of business).

4. Eligibility:
   Only candidates with domicile of Punjab Province are eligible for admission.

5. Fees:

   • A Non-Refundable Processing Fee of Rs. 1500/- (Bank Draft in favor of Vice Chancellor, Nishtar Medical University, Multan) must accompany the application form.

   • An Entry Test Fee of Rs. 3000/- (Bank Draft in favor of Vice Chancellor, Nishtar Medical University, Multan) must be submitted along with the application.

6. Submission of Application:
   The completed application form, along with all required attested documents, must be sent by post or delivered in person to:
   Principal, College of Nursing, Nishtar Medical University, Multan.
   Deadline: 10th October 2025 (during working hours).

7. Important Note:
   Applications received after the last date or incomplete applications will not be entertained.

Entry Test Information:

1. Eligibility Verification:
   After the documents are scrutinized, only eligible candidates will be invited to appear for the Entry Test.

2. Admittance Cards:
   The Entry Test Admittance Cards will be available at the College of Nursing, Nishtar Medical University and also on the official website: www.nmu.edu.pk.

3. Entry Test Date:
   The Entry Test will be conducted on 18th October 2025.

4. Entry Test Format:

   • Field Knowledge: 60 Marks

   • English: 30 Marks

   • Biostatistics & Analytical: 10 Marks
     Total: 100 Marks
     Passing Marks: 50

5. Government Employees:

   • NOC Requirement: Government employees (Regular) must submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Head of their institute along with the application.

   • Joining after NOC: Government employees will only be allowed to join the training after obtaining NOC from their competent authority.

2. Admission Process:

   • Merit-Based Admission: Admission will be granted strictly on an open merit basis.

   • Right to Cancel Admission: Nishtar Medical University reserves the right to cancel the admission process at any stage.

3. Duplicate Admission Prohibition:
   Candidates who have already availed any placement during the last three years (according to government rules) will not be allowed. If this is discovered after admission, the admission will be cancelled.
