Kohsar University Murree (KUM) is a public sector institution established by the Government of Punjab through the Kohsar University Murree Act-2020 (IX of 2020). Eligibility Criteria

  • General: Minimum 43% marks in Intermediate / A-Level or equivalent in the relevant field.

  • For Lateral Entry (BS Programs): Minimum 14 years of formal education (e.g., BSc or equivalent).

  • Special Requirement: Candidates must also pass the KUM Entrance Test.

  • Degree Completion: The degree will be awarded upon fulfilling the university’s minimum requirements, according to KUM policy.

  • Note: The university reserves the right to cancel admission in any program.

  • Application Form

  • Certificates & Transcripts (Intermediate/A-Level or equivalent)

  • Equivalence Certificates (for O-Level, A-Level, Deni Anat, Foreign Certificates) from the Curriculum Council (CC)

  • Application Fee: Transfer to Account No. 3310217226400017

  • Awaiting Results: Students may apply with a “Hope Certificate” (terms and conditions apply).


Reserved Seats

  • Sons/Daughters of martyrs of Armed Forces, war-disabled, serving and retired Armed Forces: 01 seat in each department

  • Reserved seats for Baluchistan, Gilgit-Baltistan, DG Khan, Rajan Pur, Ex-FATA, District Murree, Kotli Sattian, Kahuta: 01 seat in each department

  • 04% seats reserved in each department (specifics vary)

Note: Minimum 10 candidates required to run a program/department.
