PhD / MS / MPhil Programs – Spring Session 2026

Khyber Medical University (KMU) invites applications from Pakistani nationals (male and female) for admission to the following PhD and MS/MPhil programs for the Spring Session 2026.

GENERAL ELIGIBILITY (PhD)

1. Admission is open to all Pakistani nationals (male and female).

2. Minimum CGPA 3.00/4.00 (semester system) or 60% marks (annual system).

3. Institutional Graduate Entry Test (GET) with 70% passing score
   OR GRE with 60% passing score.

PhD PROGRAMS

a. PhD Physical Therapy

Eligibility:

• Master’s degree in Physical Therapy or equivalent in the relevant field

• Degree must be from an HEC-recognized institution

Institute Offering Program:

• Institute of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (IPMR), Peshawar

b. PhD Medical Laboratory Sciences

Eligibility:

• BS Medical Laboratory Technology (16 years) and MS/MPhil (18 years) in:

  • Medical Laboratory Sciences

  • Biochemistry

  • Molecular Biology

  • Microbiology

  • Hematology

  • Biotechnology

  • Transfusion Medicine

  • Immunology / Human Genetics

OR

• BS Medical Laboratory Technology (14 years) + MSc (15 years) in relevant fields and MPhil (18 years) in Medical Laboratory Sciences or related disciplines

Institute Offering Program:

• Institute of Paramedical Sciences (IPMS), Peshawar

MS / MPhil PROGRAMS

Minimum Eligibility

• Minimum CGPA 2.50 (semester system)

• Passing the KMU Entrance Test is mandatory

Program-wise Eligibility

a. Physical Therapy

• BS Physical Therapy (BSPT) / Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent

• Degree from an HEC-recognized university

b. Medical Laboratory Sciences

• BS MLT (16 years) OR BSc MLT (14 years) + MSc (15 years) in relevant fields

c. Optometry

• BS Optometry (4 years) OR Doctor of Optometry (5 years)

• Degree from HEC-recognized university

d. Occupational Therapy

• BS Occupational Therapy (4 years) or equivalent

e. Prosthetics & Orthotics

• BS Prosthetics & Orthotics (4 years) or equivalent

TRANSITIONAL BS PROSTHETICS & ORTHOTICS

Eligibility:

1. Pakistani nationals (male & female)

2. Three-year Bachelor of Science in Prosthetics & Orthotics from an HEC-recognized university

3. Passing entrance test is mandatory
