Private Sector Medical & Dental Colleges – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

1. Authorization

• As per notification SOHEE-V2-18 KMU, the KMU MOCAT Test 2024 was approved by the Provincial Cabinet in its meeting held on 27.06.2024.

• KMU has been declared the conducting university for a transparent and coordinated Medical and Dental Colleges Admission Test (MOCAT) for the academic session 2024-25.

2. Fee Details

• Initial payable admission/tuition fee for candidates qualifying for admission in private sector Medical/Dental colleges:

  • Rs. 600,000

• The deposited fee will be retained until:

  1. The student secures admission in a private medical/dental college, or

  2. Requests withdrawal of the fee.

• KMU will transfer the deposited fee to the respective Medical/Dental College if withdrawn.

3. Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must:

• Have passed Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) or equivalent with minimum 60% marks.

• Foreign quota candidates must fulfill eligibility as per Section 7 of relevant KMU regulations.

4. Merit Criteria

• Secondary School Certificate (SSC) or equivalent: 10%

• Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) or equivalent: 40%

• Khyber Medical College Admission Test (MOCAT): 50%

5. How to Apply

1. Candidates must apply online via the KMU official website.

2. Generate payment through the system (fees for MBBS/BDS local and foreign quota as specified).

3. Verify payment and complete the application processing.

4. Selected candidates must deposit the prescribed fee to their respective colleges.

Important Notes:

• Certificates and documents must be genuine; forged documents will lead to cancellation.

• KMU reserves the right to change rules or correct information at any stage.

• Admission policies are governed by KMU and PMDC regulations.
