Admissions Open for the Two-Year Exemption (Pathway-Based Training Program)

The College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan (CPSP) invites applications for induction into the FCPS-Health Professions Education (HPE) program under the Two-Year Exemption Pathway-Based Training Program, to be conducted at the Directorate of Medical Education (DME), CPSP Headquarters, Karachi.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

• MCPS or Master’s degree in Health Professions Education (HPE)

• Qualification must be PMDC recognized

• At least two (02) medical education-related publications in CPSP-approved journals within the last five years

Selection Process

Candidates will be selected based on:

1. Entry Test – Short Answer Questions (SAQs) based on MCPS / Master’s level syllabus

2. Submission of a thesis proposal / synopsis aligned with FCPS-HPE research requirements

3. Interview

Program Structure and Duration

• Delivered through a blended learning model:

  • Face-to-face sessions

  • Supervised distance learning

• Enables participants to continue clinical and teaching responsibilities while engaging in advanced academic development

• Pathway-based training structure with a mandatory commitment of 16 hours per week

• Duration: Two (02) years

• Components include:

  • Structured coursework

  • Supervised thesis writing

  • Thesis defense
