Program: FCPS in Health Professions Education (FCPS-HPE)
Mode: Two-Year Exemption (Pathway-Based Training Program)
Location: Directorate of Medical Education (DME), CPSP Headquarters, Karachi
The College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan (CPSP) invites applications for the FCPS-Health Professions Education (HPE) program under the Two-Year Exemption Pathway-Based Training Program.
This program is designed to enhance medical educators’ academic competencies while allowing participants to continue their clinical and teaching responsibilities. The program combines face-to-face learning with supervised distance learning.
Applicants must meet all of the following requirements:
Qualification:
MCPS or Master's degree in Health Professions Education (HPE)
Degree must be PMDC recognized
Publications:
Minimum of two (02) medical education-related publications in CPSP-approved journals within the last five years
The selection of candidates will be based on the following steps:
Entry Test:
Short Answer Questions (SAQs) based on MCPS/Master’s level syllabus
Thesis Proposal/Synopsis Submission:
Must align with FCPS-HPE research requirements
Interview:
Final assessment of candidate suitability
Mode of Delivery: Blended (face-to-face + supervised distance learning)
Weekly Commitment: 16 hours per week
Duration: Two (02) years
Components:
Structured coursework
Supervised thesis writing
Thesis defense
This structure allows participants to continue professional duties while engaging in advanced academic training.
