The Abdus Salam School of Mathematical Sciences (ASSMS) at Government College University (GCU), Lahore, is inviting high-quality proposals to organize Thematic Schools as part of the "National Summer School - 2026." The initiative aims to inspire the next generation of mathematicians through coordinated short courses and intensive lecture series.
Proposals are welcomed in a broad range of mathematical and interdisciplinary fields, including but not limited to:
Core Mathematics: Algebra, Number Theory, Geometry, Functional and Real Analysis, Differential Equations, and Dynamical Systems.
Applied & Computational Math: Mathematical Modeling, Scientific Computing, Numerical Analysis, and Optimization.
Physics & Fluids: Mathematical Physics and Computational Fluid Dynamics.
Data & AI: Artificial Intelligence (AI), Deep Learning, Machine Learning, Topological Data Analysis, and Mathematical Foundations of AI.
Interdisciplinary Math: Mathematical Economics, Financial Mathematics, Image Processing, and Mathematics for Climate & Sustainability.
Quantum & Bio: Quantum Computing, Quantum Information, and Computational Biology/Bioinformatics.
Note: Proposals for interdisciplinary topics must clearly demonstrate strong mathematical integration.
Format: Thematic Schools should span 3 to 5 days.
Content: Must consist of coordinated short courses and expert lecture series.
Support: ASSMS may provide limited financial and logistical support based on policy and fund availability. Applicants are advised to prioritize academic quality.
