Women have to be double strong if they want to survive in the male dominant society. Where they still treated like second degree employees. Who give our society power and authority to think and treat women like that? Answer is their narrow minds and so called old custom.

Our customs place man at the top rank and give them freedom to treat women like inferiors. Let me correct myself not our customs these are the custom which we adopted from Hindus by living with them for 700 years. Only a few organizations in Pakistan are treating women equally not only in compensation but also in behavior. But they are very small in number. The main problem is thinking our thinking and perception about working women is still not fully acceptable. Just take the example of small cities still women are not acceptable as working women over there.

Only two professions are considering to be suitable for women first teaching and second doctor .They are not allowed to take participate in other fields and if somehow they succeeded in getting into this. People don’t accept them. Here "people" refer not only male members but also our female society members. If a women step into job she has to be has an iron mind, iron body and iron will. When SHE enter in an office all workers give her stare, the first gift and than try their luck on her by flirting. If she give them rigid "no" response in return, they spread rumors about her character and if a low life person is there he make it his ego issue and swear himself to knock down her. This is unfortunately general behavior said a working girl named amna. So a women has to face thousands hurdles on the ways of job. But she can face these all problems if her family supports her. But again most of middle class families in our society are not very supportive there are always "khandani" issues.

Others member of family criticize working women family and forced them to stop their daughter who is roaming around with "gaar(unknown)" male person instead of doing her job. And this will affect their dear daughters who will be spoiled by following their daughter's bad traits. The common thinking is that when a girl step out she actually went out in order to seek a future husband. Moreover it is said that if parents give her high education they want to enjoy her earning. And Society labels them as greedy parents. No one look into reality just raises their fingers without knowing .Is our religion allow this?

Hazrat Khudaja the first wife of our beloved Prophet (PBUH) was also did trade before her marriage. But we do not understand that. And in most of cases families forced their daughters to resign her job due to all this issues and asked her to be shut in the house, apply face masks and wait for a rishta the last destination of Pakistani girls.
