HEC offering Commonwealth Scholarships for session 2014

Islamabad, Higher Education Commission (HEC) is offering Commonwealth scholarships for the students of Masters, Doctoral programs, Split-site study, and Academic Fellowship and are accepted in the United Kingdom, 2014.

All the Pakistani / AJK nationals are invited for the award of scholarship presented by the Commonwealth Commission United Kingdom. These scholarships are available for 03 types of categories in UK institutions for all disciplines. The scholarships are for the academic year 2014. The scholarships will be awarded on merit basis. The academic merit, quality of the research proposal, latent of the candidate, and the expected power of the work on the progress of Pakistan will be considered.
 
The eligibility criterion for Master/Doctoral/Split site scholarships is that he/she should be Pakistani citizen/permanently resident of Pakistan, must have a second class Master Degree or equivalent, should be available to start their academic studies in the United Kingdom by the start of the UK academic year by September October 2014.

Eligible and interested students can download the application form from the HEC website. Students must read the instructions before sending the application form. Reference letters must be sent in sealed envelopes.
 
Fill online Commonwealth application form (for respective scholarship program) through Electronic Application System (EAS), from http://bit.ly/cscuk-apply selecting HEC as your nominating agency. Get three (03) printouts of your online application form (duly filled and signed by the head/Vice Chancellor), as described on HEC website. The applications without EAS Application form will not be entertained. Attach attested copies of all the documents and Annexure, as mentioned in the HEC-Application Form, available on the HEC website.

Attach the payment receipt of Rs. 500 (Application Processing Fee) with HEC Application form only. All payments are to be made to HEC through HBL online facility. This facility is available in all branches of Habib Bank Ltd. A separate bank Account No. 17427900133401 is being maintained for the purpose. HEC will conduct interviews of potential candidates through the experts at HEC and selected candidates will be nominated to Commonwealth UK. Incomplete applications will not be accepted, for further processing.

Commonwealth UK does not accept direct applications. All nominations from Pakistan must sent forms via HEC. Females are encouraged to apply. Application forms (3 Copies) must be sent on or before October 25, 2013.
