The Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education (BISE) Mardan established under BISE ACT 1975 is an autonomous body of the Ministry of Education. It is empowered with administrative and financial authority to organize, regulate, develop and control Intermediate and Secondary Education in general and conduct examinations in the institutions affiliated with it. At present time of its jurisdiction, BISE Mardan conducts examinations for schools, colleges and Affiliated Cities with Mardan Board Mardan, Swabi, and Nowshera.

BISE Mardan conducts its matriculation exams in the month of March and while intermediate exams starts in the month of April. Results of matric are usually announced in the month of July and August while Inter exams results are announced in the month of September.

BISE Mardan is working under its aims and objectives to recognize education from all educational, professional, political and nonpolitical and religious organizations and groups. Boards’ plays important role in providing enlightened education and examination services to the entire nation as the future of the nation mainly depends on its education system.
