As we mentioned earlier that Graduate Assessment Test is basically held for the candidates who have a desire to take admission in MS and M.phil programs. There are numerous GAT General Courses which can be choosing by an aspirant who is willing to apply for the MS and M.Phil programs. These courses as well as the subjects are being selected by the candidates according to their needs and requirements.
There are three sorts of categories in which all the subjects which could be chosen are being divided in. There are seven possible subjects which can be choosing by the aspirant according to his or her desire. The list of those subjects is given below:
GAT General Subjects:
o Engineering and Technology
o Business Education
o Social Sciences
o Arts and Humanities
o Biological and Medical Sciences
o Agriculture and Veterinary Sciences
o Physical Sciences
All the above mentioned subjects are furthermore categorized into three different categories on the basis of their paper pattern and marks distribution as well. The three categories of GAT General test are given below:
GAT A
Business and Engineering students
GAT B
Arts, Humanities and Social science students
GAT C
Agricultural, Veterinary, Biological & Related Sciences Students
GAT-General paper comprises of three different sections, the first section is of verbal reasoning, and Second section is of Analytical Reasoning while the third section is of Quantitative section.
Time allowed to attempt GAT-General test is 2 hours (120 mins) while total number of questions in the paper are 100.
