Students who are looking for getting admission in medical colleges and university after intermediate have to pass the Medical College Admission Test (MCAT) to get admission in medical institutions. The Provincial governments make arrangements for conducting the central entry test to for the admission in the medical institutes (both private and public) in the respective provinces.

The entry test for getting admission in the medical and dental institutes in Islamabad would be conducted under the Ministry of Health. According to the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) rules have to declare the result before the 31st October and submit the result of ECAT entry test to the PMDC before 31st October every year.
