The Punjab health commission (PHC) is a self-governing health regulatory body established under the PHC 2010. The main aims of the PHC improves the quality, safety and competence of the healthcare services in all public and private healthcare establishments (HCEs)  including allopath’s, homeopaths and tibbs in the province of the Punjab.

The PHC is responsible for developing and implementing the minimum services delivery standards (MSDS) at all levels of health care, better the quality of the health care services and foster a cultural of clinical governance. All health care organizations are required to implement MSDS to require a license to deliver health care services in Pakistan.

A certificate is issued to the health care service provider after fills the required the registration form with all the necessary details and submit it to the commission.  It is lawful obligatory to get registration and license with PHC. Currently there are 17,000 institutes are registered from PHC. It also includes hospitals, clinics, laboratory, dental clinics, and homeopathic clinics, nursing maternity homes, physio therapy clinic. The Punjab health commission also organizes the workshops in Lahore, Kasur, and Sheikhupura and nankana sahib, to remove quackery.
