MANAGING DIRECTOR/
CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

Our client, Oil & Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL), is looking for an outstanding candidate of Pakistan origin who has good understanding of the oil and gas sector to be appointed as Managing Director/CEO_
The ideal candidate would have the following attributes:

Leadership:

The MD/CEO will provide effective leadership and vision for the company to grow value responsibly in a commercially profitable and sustainable manner. He/she will be expected to inculcate an organizational culture and mindset that would nurture ethical and responsible decision-making, appropriate management, and best-in-class corporate practices. He/she should be able to develop high performing management team, lead from the front and motivate the team to advance employee engagement. Having exposure to and experience of conceiving and rolling out a comprehensive change management program will be a big advantage.

Strategic Planning:

The candidate will be required to develop high quality business strategies and growth plans ensuring their alignment with the objectives of the company. The candidate will be expected to demonstrate a successful track record of growing business profitably and sustainably by utilizing human capital assets and resources.

Business Management:

The candidate should have a good grasp of the operational, regulatory, and commercial environment of the E & P sector within and outside the country with the ability to effectively engage with the public sector institutions, joint venture partners, and other stakeholders besides an understanding of the role of the Government as a shareholder.

Qualifications & Experience:

The ideal candidate would have a graduate degree (16 years equivalent) preferably in Engineering, Sciences, Business Management, or Finance. Having a post-graduate qualification will be an added advantage.
He/she would have at least 25 years of experience in business operations of large corporates (preferably US$100mil+), of which 10 years must have been in a senior management role. He/she will be expected to have knowledge of statutory responsibilities of a Chief Executive. Senior Executives from sectors other than Oil & Gas will also be considered. Qualified and experienced expatriate Pakistanis may also apply.

Age:

Should not be above 62 years.

General:

• Selected candidate will be offered a 03 years' contract (extendable) with market-based salary and other benefits commensurate with the experience, industry standards and Company policy.
