UVAS to conduct video conference on’ Data Analysis Methodologies’

Mardan, Abdul Wali Khan University (AWKU) Mardan has announced that the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS), in collaboration with the Jackson State University (JSU), USA, is organizing a five-days workshop on “Data Analysis Methodologies”.
 
The workshop would be organized at University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Lahore from December 18 to 22. The workshop will provide training on basic statistical concepts, Experimental Design and Data Analysis Methodologies, SAS-ANOVA Procedures and proposal writing techniques. The workshop is being organized under Pakistan-US Science & Technology Project “Establishing a Biostatistical Consulting Center in Pakistan”.

Dr. H. Anwar Ahmad, PI-US of the project along PI-Pakistan, VC-UVAS, Dr. Talat N. Pasha, and Mr. Muhammad Bilal, will conduct and coordinate this workshop.

This workshop has no registration fee. The successful candidates will be awarded with the certificates.

A one day workshop on “Self-Assessment Report Writing” was organized by QEC AWKUM on December 12, 2012 at Main Campus Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan. Program Teams (PT) members from four departments and Deans of Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan attended the workshop.

The workshop started with the recitation from the Holy Quran. Mr. Shah Hussain Awan (Deputy Director QEC) welcomed the participants and introduced the resource person. Madam Asia Naz from Department of Education AWKUM and Deputy Director QEC conducted the workshop.

Prof Sher Ali Khan (Registrar AWKUM) chaired the workshop and acknowledged the efforts of resource persons. He briefly addressed the session about the Self-Assessment process at the department level and role of Program Teams.

He further stressed about the in time delivery of the SAR because if the reply from the Program Teams is prompt than QEC will be able to facilitate the Self-Assessment process and coordinate efficiently with Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) of the Higher Education Commission (HEC).
