UVAS to conduct training workshop on May 13

Lahore, University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Lahore (UVAS) and Jackson State University jointly conducting a 6-days workshop at UVAS. It will deliver rigorous training in experimental designs, data collection and analysis methodologies, statistical software training, interpretation of results, manuscript development and grant writing.

Pakistan-US S&T Project, “Establishing a Biostatistical Consulting Center in Pakistan” is conducting this workshop. A summarized course on advanced Biostatistics will be provided in the morning and in the afternoon and also training on statistical software packages, such as SAS 9.2, SYSTAT13, etc., one-to-one consultations on research data and text progress.

The workshop will start from Monday, May 13, 2013 and will continue till Saturday, May 18, 2013 from 09:00 am to 05:00 pm at Biostatistical Consulting Center’s Computer Lab / Conference Hall UVAS-Lahore

Students, Academics, Faculty members or Post graduates can participate in the workshop. Young and energetic faculty members and graduate students are encouraged to apply who are dynamically engaged in research.

The University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Lahore, was established in 1882 which is an oldest institution and got the status of well-known centers of teaching in Veterinary Education in Asia.

In June 2002, it was upgraded to the university level. Since then the institute is offering education in research, higher education, human resource development and poverty improvement.
