Karachi: The US Consul General at Karachi Brian Heath has announced that the US is making its efforts to build an Information Technology (IT) park in Hyderabad. He has given this statement while addressing the business community of Hyderabad.

A press release issued by the Hyderabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (HCCI) he said that:


“US shareholders are interested in investing in Pakistan and they are also observing the condition of the country”.


US Consul General was on a tour of interior Sindh. During his tour, he also visited the US-Pakistan Centre for Advanced Studies in Water (USPCASW) in Mehran University of Engineering and Technology, Jamshoro (MUET) as well as met a group of 20 faculty members and aspirants who were headed to US for a research exchange program.

During his visit to MUET, Heath said:


“We are honored to empower women scientists as well as researchers in Pakistan to solve its water issues.”


According to the signed agreement between US and Pakistan, the University of Utah is permitted to providing education and training for over a semester to 250 faculty as well as aspirants of MUET. US is already partnering along with University of Engineering and Tehnology and National University of Science and Technology for an energy initiative in Pakistan.

Recently, US have also allocated $20million to UET Peshawar for research in energy sector of Pakistan.
