UOP announced BA / BSc annual exams result 2015

University of Peshawar has announced BA/BSc annual exams result 2015 on Monday and girl students of Jinnah College for Women and Fazaia Degree College secured the top three positions in these exams.

 Sumbal Naz and Noreen Amin of Jinnah College for Women secured 511 and 507 marks, respectively out of 550 to and obtained first two positions in Bsc. Madeeha Gul of Fazaia Degree College secured third position in BSc by obtaining 472 marks.

 In BA, Masooma Zahra of the FG Degree College for Women, Peshawar Cantt obtained 439 marks and secured first position in the univeristy. She was followed by Muhammad Asad Khan Akhunzada of Edwardes College Peshawar Cantt who attained 422 marks while Maleeha Hussain of Jinnah College for Women clinched third position by obtaining 417 marks.

 Controller examination of University of Peshawar Dr Rashid Khan officially announced the results at the award distribution ceremony held for the position holders of these exams.

As per Controller of examinations, total 20,228 aspirants had appeared in BA/BSc Part-I exams in which 4,239 were declared as pass along with the passing percentage of almost 20.96.

 In BA/BSc Part-2 exams, 15,751 students had appeared in which 6,177 were declared as pass along with the passing percentage of 39.22. However the overall passing percentage in BA/ BSc exams was 28.95%.

In prize distribution ceremony, Vice Chancellor of University of Peshawar Dr Muhammad Rasul Jan distributed the certificates as well as the shields among the position holders. He offered free of cost education for three top position holders in University of Peshawar.

Dr Rasul Jan congratulated the position holders of BA BSc exams as well as their parents and advised them to continue hard work in future also. He maintained the University of Peshawar had abolished third division in BA, BSc to improve the standard of the education.

 Controller Examination Rashid Khan, Registrar Dr Syed Fazle Hadi, Deans of faculties as well as the staff members of University of Peshawar, principals of different colleges and also the parents of the toppers were also present in the ceremony.
