Abbottabad: A teenage girl whose burned body was recovered from a vehicle last week was murdered for assisting her classmate in running away, police investigation exposed on Thursday.
The body of the 16 years old girl was recovered one week ago from inside a burnt van in Makol village near Donga Gali in Abbottabad district. At first the rumors were roaming that the girl was mentally unstable and might have attempted suicide.
However, the investigation in to this case exposed that the girl who was the student of class 9th, kidnapped from her house, anesthetized, murdered and after that set on fire following a decision of a local Jirga.
The local citizens had suspected that the girl assisted her classmate in running away with a boy she loved, police said. The same night, she was kidnapped from her home.
A graphic picture of the completely burnt body of the young girl shocked everyone this week after it went viral on social media.
A local inhabitant, Abdullah, come near to the reporters to highlight the matter so that the family is provided justice.
“She was actually kidnapped, raped and after that burnt alive after tying her to the back seat along with a wire,” said Abdullah.
