Students protest for non-provision of scholarships

Hangu: The aspirants from Orakzai Agency staged a protest against the non-provision of scholarships.

While speaking at a press conference, FATA Students Organization office-bearers Abdur Rahim Orakzai as well as others said that numerous students were denied scholarships in spite of being shortlisted.

They said that FATA Secretariat had announced Rs80 million for the FATA students however Orakzai students were ignored in the scholarships.

The representatives of the student’s community said that students of all other agencies had received political agent scholarships however the aspirants from Orakzai Agency had not been given the same.

They asked the government to provide scholarships to the students from Orakzai Agency or otherwise they will launch a protest campaign.
