Lahore, Education gives you the confidence and the tools to be finically stable. And the financial stability will give us the ability to make a change . This new desire for liberation and democracy must be accompanied by the empowerment of women. For it is through the empowerment of women that we can change mindsets and stop radicalization , Subjected to violence , not schooled ,devalued and abused.let women empower themselves through higher education, let them fulfill their dreams, let them marry people of their choice which is their Islamic right.let them go out to main street Pakistan and serve the community and allow them to stand side by side a man and serve their country.
This was said by founding member of American Muslim Women Empowerment Council (AMWEC) in her special lecture, have at Lahore College for Women University (LCWU) on Tuesday. Now it is up to us women to fight for our rights. It will start once we will start educating ourselves . We should not let our culture supersede our religion.
When we educate a man we educate a person but when we educate a woman we educate a society. We can not sit and wait for the change we have to make it happen.
