Lahore, Punjab Government has started the E-Learn Program, it was declared by Education Minister Rana Mashhood. Books at various levels have been arranged in digital data. All those school having computer lab or active class room technology they can avail this facility. He announced it on the inauguration ceremony of “Active Classroom Technology” of British institute Promethean.
In present world the education has been expanded with the use of technology and revolution in education is not new while the Internet joined with mobile become more inexpensive source for the people and leading towards powerful digital medium to improve the teaching and learning experience all over the world. By providing approach to learning and evaluation resource it becomes possible to enable the “personalization” of e learning experience.
In this way Punjab government is working with the aim to facilitate and stimulate the users with educational technologies and provide digitized content, related additional resources, and online evaluation methodologies for aspirants and educators.
At initial stage the online books of class 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th are available for the students and steps are also been taken for digitized versions of science subject text books for 9th and 10th grades. The links to get additional material are also available on the website. The material will also be pre-loaded into laptops or tablets or in the form of CDs in next few years.
