Lahore, Spokesman University of the Punjab Lahore has clarified a news item published in different sections of Press regarding selection board of Institute of Communication Studies (ICS). Spokesman said that the candidates are selected through the proper channel and the most transparent process of the selection board and there was no question of any favoritism.
He said that candidates were given numbers out of a total of 40 numbers on the basis of their academic career while subject experts give out of 20 numbers to the interviewees. The spokesman said further that rest of the panelists give numbers examining the performance of the interviewee and an average of the numbers they give was taken out, out of a total of 30 numbers. He said that the candidate who was not selected could not be barred from complaining.
