Prayer ceremony held for the martyrs and their families at ICS

LAHORE (Wednesday, December 17, 2014): Punjab University (PU) Institute of Communication Studies (ICS) organised a protest rally against the brutal attack on Army Public School Peshawar, which killed more than 140 people including 134 children, on Wednesday.

ICS In-Charge Director Dr Noshina Saleem led the rally which started from ICS and ended at Institute of Education and Research. Assistant Professor Shabbir Sarwar, Lecturer Sana Naveed Khan, Lecturer Shazia Toor, PU FM Manager Muhammad Irshad and a large number of students participated in the rally.

Students wore black bands on their arms to condemn the brutal attack and held banner and placards during the rally. Talking to the participants of the rally, Dr Noshina Saleem condemned the cowardly attack and said that such attack could not deter the Pakistani nation. She said every citizen of Pakistan was standing with the Pakistani Army in the fight against terrorism.

Earlier, a special prayer ceremony was held for the Peshawar martyrs and their families at the Institute of Communication Studies.
