PU ICS holds candlelight vigil for Peshawar martyrs

Prayer ceremony held for martyrs and their families

LAHORE (Thursday, December 18, 2014): Punjab University (PU) Institute of Communication Studies (ICS) organised a candlelight vigil for the martyrs of Army Public School Peshawar here on Thursday.

ICS In-Charge Director Dr Noshina Saleem, while addressing the participants, said the whole nation was highly aggrieved by the atrocities of the act of terrorism in Peshawar. She said the whole country was with the families of the martyrs, and Pakistan Army to combat terrorism. Assistant Professor Shabbir Sarwar, Lecturer Shafiq Kamboh, PU FM 104.6 Manager Muhammad Irshad, staff members and a large number of students participated in the vigil.

On this occasion, a special prayer ceremony was held for the Peshawar martyrs and for the courage of the bereaved families to bear the irreparable loss at the Institute of Communication Studies.
