LAHORE: Punjab Teachers Union (PTU) has requested the Punjab government take quick measures in order to confirm security at public schools across the province especially primary and middle schools claiming these schools be deficient in necessary resources.

In the meantime in a press report, Islami Tehreek-e-Talaba (ITT) chairman Ghulam Abbas Siddiqui criticized the statement of closing the edifying institutions in the wake of the Peshawar attack, saying this would result not only in theoretical loss of the students but would also have inclusive negative impression.
He said as an alternative of closing the schools, the administration should take practical steps to confirm security at educational institutes.
