Private school in Lahore attacked after teacher ‘rapes’ student

Lahore: A private school in Lahore was apparently attacked and its building damaged by the residents of area to protest against the sexual attack and then disappearance of an 8 years old school boy by his teacher in Green Town on Tuesday.

A heavy deputation of police reached the spot to maintain law and order situation because the charged protesters gathered more people to overstate the protest.

The eye witness of situation told the media sources that a private school teacher at Baggrian Chowk sexually attacked a boy and run away from the scene. The parents of victim rushed to the school and on finding their child missing called more people from that area.

They said that as the police reached the location late, so people got charged up and then attacked the school building damaging its windows and doors.

The picketers also beat up the school security guard and intoned slogans against the criminal schoolteacher and also the administration of school.

When the police tried to disperse the angry people, they started throwing stones on them. Police hit back the protestors by baton-charging that turns the area into a little battlefield.

The eye witness moreover said that the situation remained tense for a few hours and more policemen were called because the protesters attempted to set the school on fire. Afterwards, the senior police officers also reached the scene.

After few hours of discussions, police officials managed to disperse the activists assuring them that the schoolteacher will be arrested and the boy will also recover.

Though, a police source said that the suspected schoolteacher had been taken into charge and police high-ups were hiding his arrest to avoid the anger of the charged protesters.
