Islamabad: The foundations of a nursing university in Islamabad were laid by the Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif.

The King Hamad University of Nursing and Associated Medical Sciences is going to be set up in Chak Shehzad along with the aid from Bahrain.

 


The varsity will be affiliated with Royal College of Surgeons, Ireland.


Prime Minister of Pakistan acknowledged the Government of Bahrain and also King Hamad for this much needed kindness and help they offered in supporting the establishment of this university.

“This is reflective of leadership of love of Bahrain for the Pakistanis and its commitment to help in improving the quality of life of our people” said PM.

Nawaz Sharif further said that the university will help in filling a crucial gap in the healthcare field because the trained and qualified nurses are not in abundance and this project will definitely assist to overcome the shortage of nurses.

He also said that it would be a major step forward regarding the development of the healthcare sector.

The university will bring quality nursing care and raise the level of health standards in Pakistan, he added.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said that healthcare is the top priority of the Government and it has introduced major reforms and started projects focusing on the poor population.
