Punjab Examination Commission (PEC) is functioning since 2005 and establishment was made by government of Punjab. The affiliated regions of Rawalpindi board are District Attock, District Chakwal and District Jhelum. PEC supervises all the Punjab boards for the conduction of 5th and 8th class exams. Every year PEC organizes exams through nine boards of Punjab in a fair and transparent way. At initial stage PEC provides registration to students to get admission for primary and middle level exams. The body issues roll number slips to regular and private students of public and private institutions. Registration is free of cost and through software and at least one month before the conduction of exams it issues roll number slips to students.
