Punjab Board of Technical Education (PBTE) is a self-governing body created under the Act known as Punjab Board of Technical Education Act 1971. The board has various functions including the management, development and regulation of technical, commerce & vocational education within the Punjab province. PTBE provides education in various diplomas and courses in different subjects and fields of studies such as science, arts, commerce, technology and other professions. Annually the examining body organizes exams in all the programs in different time schedules. The date sheets are announced for off and on programs in particular schedules and published at least one month earlier to the beginning of exams. There are various faculties linked with PBTE and organize diplomas and one year programs in technical, commerce and vocational fields.
