Pakistani students introduce new solution to end loadshedding

Islamabad, Two Pakistani students, Shahbaz Khattak and Abdul Muizz of PakTurk School Islamabad have won silver medal in the International Computer Projects Competition which was organized in Romania. These brilliant students have provided solution to end load shedding and settle the issue of energy robbery.

They have made GSM-based Automatic Meter Reader (AMR) which was displayed in the competition and got second position in the category of Hardware Control. The Automatic Meter Reader can get in taking data from power, gas and water meters without connection of meter readers. It spreads data to central database of service providing company for billing, troubleshooting, and their solutions. Its main benefit is that it gives correct data, track practice, improve energy management and perceive moderating. It can be used for security and fire alarm systems.

ARM can resolve the problems of complaints by users and increasing energy theft at the moment which valued at Rs250 billion annually.

PakTurk executives Kamil Ture and Turgut Puyan said that contribution in international contests and winning awards is now a story for Pakistani students having talent. The only need is that educational institutions should boost the talented students to apply their thoughts, desire, and creativity to make a difference. The purpose of conducting such events is not only to enhance professionalism but to promote intercultural interchange and cooperation.

A large number of students from different countries contributed in the contest and displayed their projects of different topics. Students from United States, United Kingdom, Russian Federation, , Germany,  Macedonia, Romania, Belgium, Poland, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Hong Kong, Tanzania, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, Afghanistan, Vietnam, Mexico, Hungary, Azerbaijan, Ecuador, Georgia, Thailand, Turkey, Indonesia, South Africa, Laos, Colombia, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Iraq, Albania and Malaysia took part in the event.
