Over 5000 visitors participate in Youth Shaping Futures Job Fair 2012

Karachi, Sindh Youth Affairs Department and The Capacity Builder (TCB) has organized Youth Shaping Futures Job Fair 2012 at the Karachi Expo Center. On this occasion Sindh Minister for Youth Affairs Syed Faisal Ali Subzwari said that Pakistan’s development is dependent on the investments made towards youth of the country.

More than 5,000 people from different walks of life visited over 70 stalls which were there for the promotion of their companies and shared upcoming job details.
 
The purpose of job fair was to provide informative career and education seminars, enquiry services, foreign education guideline along with providing young people an opportunity to cooperate with 70 recruiting officialdoms.

Secretary Youth Affairs Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui said on this occasion that youth is the supreme preference of the government and broad efforts have been taken to deliver career counseling services to them throughout the province. He further said that YAD had positively implemented career counseling for youth project.

The main focus of this job fair was to provide platform to network and the opportunity for future employers to meet directly with job seekers from around capital.

Khurshid Ali Shaikh, Director Youth Affairs emphasized that the job fair would give an annual opportunity to youth learn from and network with compatible organizations.

A visitor, Sania Sheikh said that such events provide a platform for developing talent to select organizations as per their necessities. Students who want to study abroad can also be facilitated by visiting such job fair, she added.

This event was not only supportive for job seekers, but it also provided help to select their workers according to organizational demands, he said.

Over 70 companies including Aga Khan Education Services Pakistan, Air Bus, Aman Tech, British Council, General Electric, PAK Qatar Family Takaful, Ismail Industries, National Bank of Pakistan, ROZEE PK among others had arranged their stalls for guidance of youth.
