Karachi, Intel Pakistan has taken new initiative and starting Intel Youth Enterprise under its Intel Entrepreneurship program. For this purpose MoU was signed with Higher Education Department (HED), Government of Punjab (GoP) for leading trainings and executing the Entrepreneurship Basics Course for the students in the province of Punjab.
 
Under this program,, Intel Pakistan aims to train 2,000 students till December 2013, of the institutions under HED, GoP.

The Entrepreneurship program is basically a training program which aims to support the unemployed youths and adults who are interested to establish their own businesses but are lacking of the basic skills required by an entrepreneur.

Intel Pakistan is providing its services and programs to public and private sector organizations from many years in the field of technology. Intel has created advanced and new solutions for the youth of Pakistan to build a bright future.

Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering and Technology is going to conduct 14th annual All Pakistan Science Fair (APSF) today.

Various departments of several universities of the country will took part in this fair. The fair will be divided into two groups, science contest and science exhibition.

Students of various universities will display their projects on the exhibition.  The science fair will continue till Jan 17.

Sindh Education Minister, Pir Mazhar ul Haq has announced on Thursday that government schools and college will have biometric/GPRS system soon.

He revealed this news while chairing a meeting of the senior representatives of the education department.

The purpose of establishment of the biometric system is to inspect the dropout rate of the students as well as the absence on the part of the teachers, minister said. He further said that primarily this system would be started in one boys and one girls school and college each at the tehsil level.
 
Pir Mazhar further stated that libraries of all the 268 colleges would be advanced. He revealed schools would also have up to date libraries.

The minister directed that the steps have been taken for the ongoing schemes of the education department as well as the setting up of campuses of the Sindh University and Shah Latif University in the far-flung areas of the province.
