Lahore, University of the Punjab Lahore held its 120th convocation in the Faisal Auditorium, New Campus. On this occasion, University Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran was chief guest. VC said our all national crisis are just because of lack of education. He said that our rulers never accept the importance of education, since from the creation of Pakistan. Vice –Chancellor advise the students to focus on their study because education is the key to progress and development.
In the absence of Chancellor and Governor Punjab Sardar Latif Khosa, Vice-Chancellor gave away degrees to 129 PhDs, 261 MPhils, 377 Masters and 219 Undergraduates besides distributing 199 medals and cash prizes among 60 Undergraduates and 79 Masters Students. On this occasion, Registrar Prof Dr Muhammad Akhtar, Controller Examinations Prof Dr Liaqat Ali, all Deans of faculties, Principles of colleges, Directors of Institutes, heads of Departments, professors, students receiving degrees and medals and their parents were also present.
